Vision
Shuswap Community Resources Co-operative will support member agencies in the development and delivery of inclusive, appropriate and timely social services to the communities of the Shuswap.
In order to achieve our vision the co-operative will:
- Demonstrate accountability and integrity as core values
- Practice the values and polices of democracy, reciprocity and mutual respect
- Foster interdependence by encouraging the development of networks, alliances and partnerships
- Promote sustainability by sharing resources, creating operational efficiencies and assisting in fund-raising or the operation of both individual or joint social enterprise ventures.
On March 8, 2011, representatives of SPARC BC (the Social Planning and Research Council of BC) will be presenting a workshop at the SASCU Downtown Activity Centre that will help us to explore the creation of a Regional Social Planning Council for the Shuswap.
